How to create a poll in Votaneo

  1. Write a clear question

Choose Poll and add answer options. Use distinct options that together cover what you want to learn.

  2. Invite the group

Start the presentation and show the QR code or join code. Participants can answer in their browser without an account.

  3. Show answers when the time is right

Use the results to start a conversation. Show answers as they arrive or keep them hidden until you reveal them.

Questions that get people talking

  • What should we spend the most time on today? Planning, collaboration or follow-up.
  • How would you prefer to get feedback? In conversation, in writing or through a shared example.
  • Which next step would help most? Explore the need, test an idea or clarify who does what.

A poll can give a quick overview, but it doesn’t always tell you why people chose an option. Follow up with an open-ended question or invite the group to discuss.

Make the results easy to read

Choose a chart that suits the question and explain what the counts and percentages represent. Participant identification is browser-based. The system does not verify that each answer comes from a unique person.

Votaneo’s standard polls are designed for participation in presentations. They are not a system for formal elections that require identity checks.

Can I create a poll for free?

Free includes polls, word clouds, quizzes, open-ended questions and scales, with 75 participations per calendar month per account and eight saved or active results in total. Basic and Pro have no monthly participation quota or saved-results cap. Simultaneous participation is subject to capacity. Compare plans and limits.
