How quizzes work in Votaneo
Prepare the question
Choose Quiz, write the options and mark the correct answer. Preview it with sample data before using it with your group.
Set the pace
Add a time limit if you want a timed question. Faster correct answers earn more points on timed questions. Participants choose a nickname for the leaderboard.
Explain the answer
Reveal the correct answer and discuss why it’s right. Show the leaderboard when it fits the presentation.
Use quizzes to build understanding
Start a training session with a simple question that reveals common misconceptions. Check understanding after introducing a concept, or finish with a recap. A quiz can also energise a meeting when the questions relate to the work at hand.
Write plausible, easy-to-read options. Use incorrect answers as a chance to explain. Give participants time to read and understand the question.
What quiz results can tell you
Scores and answer distributions describe the quiz as it was run. Nicknames and browser identification do not verify identity. Don’t use this feature for secure examinations or decisions requiring identity verification.
The quiz is part of a presenter-led session. It is not designed for self-paced homework or guaranteed individual tracking.
What’s included for quizzes?
Free includes polls, word clouds, quizzes, open-ended questions and scales, with 75 participations per calendar month per account and eight saved or active results in total. Basic and Pro have no monthly participation quota or saved-results cap. Simultaneous participation is subject to capacity. Compare plans and limits.
Questions and answers
Do participants need to download an app?
No. Participants open the presentation’s QR link or enter the code in their browser.
Can I mix quiz questions with information slides?
Yes. Add content slides, polls, word clouds, open-ended questions and scales between quiz questions.
Can I run the same quiz again?
Yes. Start the presentation again for a separate session. Earlier results stay in their own session within your account limits.
